BANANA NUT CAKE 
2 1/4 c. sifted cake flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 1/4 tsp. vanilla
1 c. mashed bananas
1/2 c. soft butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. chopped nuts
2 tbsp. milk

Sift flour, baking powder, soda and salt; set aside. Cream butter for 3 minutes. Add eggs. Continue beating for 2 minutes. Add nuts, milk, vanilla, and 1/4 dry ingredients. Mix or fold dry for 1 minute. Blend in remaining dry ingredients and bananas alternately for 4 minutes or until batter is smooth. Pour batter into 2 greased and lightly floured 8 inch square pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 1/2 hour.
