CREOLE MEAT LOAF 
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. chopped celery
1/4 c. chopped green pepper
2 tbsp. butter
1 bottle (12 oz.) Heinz chili sauce
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1 c. soft bread crumbs
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/2 tsp. salt

Saute onion, celery, green pepper in butter until vegetables are tender. Stir in chili sauce.

Combine 3/4 cup sauce mixture with ground beef, bread crumbs, egg and salt until well blended. Shape into loaf (9 x 4 x 2) in shallow baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Let stand 5 to 10 minutes. Heat remaining sauce and pour over slices.
