BETH'S POPPY SEED LOAF 
3 c. flour
2 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. oil
1/4 stick butter
3 eggs
1 1/2 tbsp. poppy seeds
1 1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. almond extract
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Mix together wet ingredients - stir together dry ingredients and add to wet ingredients. Bake in greased and floured tube pan, two loaf pans, or 5/6 mini- loaf pans. (I prefer mini-loaf pans.) Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/4 hours. Cool for 10 minutes then turn out.

GLAZE:

3/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 stick butter
1/4 c. orange juice
1 tsp. almond extract

Prepare glaze. Melt in saucepan, vanilla, butter, orange juice and almond extract. Brush all over loaves and serve.
