MICROWAVE BAKED BEANS 
1 lb. navy beans
6 whole cloves
1 med. onion
6 slices bacon, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
1/2 c. molasses
1/4 c. dark brown sugar
1 tbsp. dry mustard
1/2 tsp. salt

In a 2 1/2 quart casserole, combine beans and 6 cups water. In microwave, cook, covered on High 16-22 minutes until boiling. Cook on High 2 minutes longer. Remove and let stand covered 1 hour. Return to microwave and cook, covered at Medium power 30-40 minutes until beans are tender - but not soft. Press cloves into onion; add with remaining ingredients to casserole. Cook, covered, on High 30-40 minutes, stirring 4 times until beans are soft. Remove onion before serving.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
