1 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour

Cream butter and sugar. Combine with egg and vanilla. Add flour and mix well. Spread in a 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 inch jelly roll pan and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.

2/3 c. brown sugar
3 c. miniature marshmallows

Cream butter and sugar. Add marshmallows and mix well. Spread on cookie layer and broil 2 to 3 minutes. Sprinkle with chopped nuts.
