GRANDPOP PRENCIPE CLAM CHOWDER 
1 doz. lg. clams

Steam clams in 1/2 gallon water. Grind the clams, reserve the water. Add salt and pepper to taste to clams.

1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, chopped
2 c. diced celery
2 c. diced onions
1 lb. diced potatoes
1/3 c. flour
1 tsp. thyme
1 c. green diced pepper
1/2 c. Mazola
1/2 tsp. curry powder

Saute onions, peppers, celery in oil until they change color, about 5 minutes. Add flour and curry powder and stir. Add tomatoes, clam water, thyme and diced potatoes, cook until potatoes are done. Add clams. Cook about 4 minutes longer. Sprinkle parsley over each serving.
