GREEN TOMATO PICKLES (OLD-TIME) 
1 peck green tomatoes
4 onions, chopped
1/2 c. salt
3 pts. vinegar
1 qt. sugar
6 c. green peppers, chopped
Just a little mixed spices

Cut up tomatoes, add onions and sprinkle salt over them. Let stand overnight. Next morning add the vinegar, sugar, spices and pepper. Boil very slowly for 2 hours.
