REFRIGERATOR BRAN MUFFINS 
3 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 c. boiling water
4 eggs, beaten
4 c. flour sifted with
5 tsp. baking soda
1 c. shortening
4 c. Kelloggs Bran Buds
2 c. 100% Nabisco Bran
1 qt. buttermilk
12 dates cut fine

Pour boiling water over Bran Buds. Cream sugar and shortening, add eggs, flour, salt and soda. Combine this with Bran Buds and water mixture. Add Nabisco Bran and buttermilk alternately. Add dates. Bake in muffin tins at 375 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. Batter may be kept in refrigerator for a month.
