SCALLOPED MEAT BALLS 
2 c. sliced raw potatoes
1 c. sliced raw carrots
1 med. onion, sliced
2 tsp. salt
1 lb. ground beef
1 egg
1/4 c. dried bread crumbs
1/3 c. milk
1/4 tsp. thyme
2 tbsp. butter
1 can cream of mushroom soup
8 oz. sour cream
1/2 tsp. paprika

1. Boil potatoes, carrots, onions in boiling water with 1 tsp. salt for 5 minutes.

2. Mix leaf, egg, crumbs, milk, and thyme, shape into 16 balls.

3. Brown in butter and pour off all drippings.

4. Stir remaining ingredients into fry pan and heat until hot.

5. Layer 1/2 vegetables, then meatballs, then soup. Repeat layer; cover.

6. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes.
