SESAME SEED COOKIES 
1/2 lb. butter
3/4 to 1 c. sugar
1 whole egg, beaten lightly
2 c. sifted cake flour
1/2 to 1 tsp. vanilla extract
3 tbsp. sesame seeds

Cream butter. Add sugar and rest of ingredients. Drop batter with a teaspoon onto a buttered tin. Bake cookies in a preheated 375 degree oven until edges turn brown (cookies expand). Remove cookies with a spatula, carefully and place on a platter. They'll turn crisp when cool.
