MOLASSES PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES 
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. light molasses
1/2 c. chunk-style peanut butter
1 egg
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt

1. Cream shortening and sugar, beat in molasses, peanut butter and egg.

2. Stir together flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt.

3. Stir into peanut butter mixture. Mix well.

4. Drop dough by teaspoonfuls two inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten dough with tines of fork.

5. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 minutes until done. Makes 4 dozen cookies.
