BURNT CREAM PIE 
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. sugar
3 egg yolks
1/2 c. flour
2 c. milk

Put 1 cup sugar in iron skillet; melt it. Set aside and keep warm. Mix together rest of ingredients and put on heat. When it gets ready to boil, dump melted sugar in and stir until sugar dissolves. Add 1/4 stick butter and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. Pour into baked pie shell. Beat egg whites. Pour on top and brown.
