2 c. self-rising flour 1/4 c. butter 2/3 to 3/4 c. buttermilk Preheat oven to 500 degrees. Sift flour; cut in butter. Blend in just enough milk until dough is almost sticky. Knead with fork in bowl. Roll 1/2- inch thick, cut and bake on ungreased cookie sheet 8-10 minutes. Don't handle dough any more than is necessary. Try to cut all biscuits out of first roll. Don't roll more than twice. |
