1 c. flour
1/3 c. brown sugar
1 tbsp. cocoa
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. raisins
2 1/3 c. milk

SAUCE:

1 c. brown sugar
1 tbsp. flour
1 tbsp. butter
1/8 tsp. salt
2 c. boiling water
2 tsp. vanilla

Sift the flour, sugar, cocoa, salt, and baking powder. Rub in the butter and add raisins. Add the milk to make soft dough and turn into a well buttered baking pan.

Sauce: Mix sugar and flour well. Add butter and boiling water; stir until sugar is dissolved. Add salt and vanilla. Pour over the batter in baking dish. Pour carefully so as not to disturb the batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
