PORCUPINE BALLS--DESSERT 
3/4 c. sugar
1 c. dates
2 eggs, well beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. Rice Krispies
1 c. walnuts
1 1/2 c. coconut

Combine sugar, dates and eggs in pan. Cook over medium heat. Stir constantly until mix pulls away from sides of pan. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla and walnuts. Then carefully stir in cereal. Cool slightly, moisten hands in cold water and shape in balls. Roll in coconut and store in refrigerator.
