BAKED CHICKEN AND PRUNES 
3 tbsp. vegetable oil
6 med. onions, sliced 1/4 inch thick
2 tbsp. flour
2 frying chickens, cut up
Salt and pepper
1 1/2 lbs. prunes
2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce

Put oil in bottom of large deep casserole. Add onions and sprinkle with flour. Add half the pieces of chicken and sprinkle them with salt and pepper. Add half the prunes. Repeat layers of chicken, seasonings and prunes. Pour tomato sauce over all. Cover and bake in moderate oven (350 degrees) 2 hours. Serves 8. Excellent!
