APLETS CANDY 
1 1/4 c. grated apple
2 tbsp. unflavored gelatin
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. confectioners' sugar
1 tbsp. cornstarch

Combine 1/2 cup grated apple and gelatin. Let stand for 10 minutes. Combine 3/4 cup grated apple, sugar and lemon juice. Bring to a boil; add gelatin mixture. Cook for 15 minutes. Cool. Add vanilla and nuts. Pour into oiled 8 inch square pan. Chill for 24 hours in refrigerator. Cut into squares. Combine confectioners' sugar and cornstarch. Roll squares in confectioners' sugar mixture.
