APPLE COBBLER 
1/4 c. white sugar
1/4 c. brown sugar
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 c. water
3 c. sliced apples
1 tbsp. lemon juice

Mix both sugars, cornstarch and water. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thick. Remove from heat. Add apples and lemon juice. Turn into 2 quart baking dish.

TOPPING:

1 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
1/4 c. soft butter

LAST TOPPING:

2 tbsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. cinnamon

Topping: Sift into bowl flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, milk and butter. Beat until smooth. Spoon over fruit, then sprinkle with last topping. Bake 40-45 minutes at 375 degrees. Serves 6.
