ITALIAN BROIL 
2 lbs. lean ground beef
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1 loaf Italian bread
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/2 c. chopped onion
8 thin slices Mozzarella cheese
1 can sliced mushrooms, drained & chopped
1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp. oregano leaves

Mix ground beef and garlic salt. Cut loaf of Italian bread in half lengthwise; spreads meat mixture evenly over each bread half, bring mixture to edges. Place in broiler pan and broil 6" from flame until meat is brown, about 10 minutes. Remove from broiler, top each sandwich with ingredients in the following order: tomato sauce, onion, Mozzarella cheese, and mushrooms. Combine remaining ingredients and sprinkle over mushrooms. Return to broiler until Mozzarella is melted and Parmesan cheese is lightly browned. Makes 8 servings.
