FUDGE PILLOWS 
1/2 c. firm butter
1 1/2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. water
1 tsp. vanilla
Fudge-Cream Cheese Filling

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Cut butter into flour and salt until mix resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle in water a tablespoon at a time and vanilla, tossing with fork until all flour is moistened and dough cleans sides of bowl. Divide dough in half.

Roll each half into 8x12 inch rectangle on cloth-covered board, generously sprinkle with sugar. Cut each lengthwise into four 2-inch strips. Prepare Fudge-Cream Cheese Filling:

FUDGE CREAM CHEESE FILLING:

1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
1/4 c. cocoa
2 tsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
3 oz. cream cheese, softened

Drop by rounded teaspoons into 6 mounds 1 inch apart on a strip. Top with another strip; cut into six 2-inch squares and seal edges securely. Place about 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Repeat with remaining strips and filling. Bake until light golden brown, about 15 minutes. Immediately remove from sheet.
