BROCCOLI ORANGE SALAD 
Salad:

1/2 c. slivered almonds
4 c. fresh, cut up broccoli
2 c. mushrooms (8 medium)
1/2 c. red onions, sliced or chopped
1 can (11 oz.) mandarin oranges
1/2 c. raisins
6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled

Toss all ingredients together and add dressing just before serving.

Dressing:

1 egg plus 1 egg yolk, lightly beaten
1/2 c. sugar
1-1/2 tsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. dry mustard
1/4 c. vinegar
1/4 c. water
3 tbsp. butter, softened
1/2 c. mayonnaise

Whisk eggs, cornstarch and mustard together. Add vinegar and water. Cook, stirring briskly, until thick. Remove from heat. Stir in butter and mayonnaise. Chill. Toss over salad just before serving.
