VEGETABLE STEW WITH BISCUITS 
1 med. size potato, diced
3 lg. carrots, diced
1 med. onion, chopped
1 c. celery, chopped
1 c. corn
1 c. peas (optional)
1 lb. round steak, cut in cubes
Water (enough to cook vegetables and meat in)
Salt to taste
2 c. tomatoes or tomato juice

Brown steak. Cook meat in water until nearly tender. Add vegetables and salt; continue cooking until done. Add tomatoes. Thicken stew slightly. Pour into a baking pan. Put baking powder biscuits over stew and bake at 350 degrees until biscuits are golden brown.
