JAPANESE RICE 
1 pkg. pork chops
2-3 carrots, grated
9-10 green onions, diced
1 can mushrooms
1 sm. can water chestnuts
2 c. cooked rice
1 tbsp. soy sauce

Cut pork chops in small pieces. Cook in 1 tablespoon or less shortening in skillet until done. Add carrots, onions, mushrooms, water chestnuts; add rice and soy sauce.

Additional soy sauce may be added at table, if desired.

Ham, chicken or turkey may be used in place of pork, if desired.
