APRICOT ORANGE LOAF | |
2 c. all purpose flour 3 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. baking soda 1 1/2 tsp. salt 3/4 c. sugar 1/3 c. spry or other shortening 1 egg, beaten 3/4 c. milk 1/4 c. orange juice 1 tbsp. grated orange rind 1/2 c. dates, ground 1/2 c. dried ground apricots 1/2 c. nut meats, chopped Sift dry ingredients. Use 1/2 flour and blend with fruits, cut in shortening, add egg, milk, orange juice rind, nuts, and fruits. Add remaining flour. Bake in greased pan 9 x 5 x 3, 350 degrees for 1 1/4 hours. |
