APRICOT - NUT LOAF 
1 c. dried apricots
3/4 c. boiling water
1/3 c. butter, softened
1 c. sugar
1 egg
3/4 c. orange juice
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 c. chopped pecans
2 c. flour

Combine apricots and boiling water in a small bowl; set aside to soak for 15 minutes. Cream butter and sugar; beat in eggs. Drain apricots, stir in apricots; add pecans and mix well.

Combine remaining ingredients and gradually add to batter, stirring just until all ingredients are moistened.

Spoon into a well greased 9 x 5 x 3 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15-25 minutes. Cool 10 minutes on wire rack. Remove from and serve with apricot butter.
