KATIE'S KOURABIEDE COOKIES | |
1 c. butter 1/2 c. powdered sugar, sifted 1 egg yolk 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1/4 tsp. ground aniseed 1/4 c. almonds, finely chopped 2 c. all-purpose flour 1/2 tsp. baking powder Sifted powdered sugar Cream butter and 1/2 cup powdered sugar. Stir in egg yolk, vanilla and aniseed. Stir in almonds. Stir together flour and baking powder; blend into creamed mixture. Wrap and chill for 30 minutes. Form into 1 inch balls. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 325 degrees about 20 minutes or until they are a pale sand color. Cool, then top with powdered sugar. |
