2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/4 brown sugar
2 eggs
3 squares melted chocolate
1 c. milk
1 tsp vanilla

No mixer needed for this recipe. Just stir ingredients together with spoon. Pour into greased 9 x 13 pan.

Bake at 350°F for 40 minutes. Serve plain or with ice cream or whipped cream.
