BISHOP'S BREAD 
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nuts (walnuts)
1 c. chopped dates
1 c. sliced maraschino cherries
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate bits
4 eggs, beaten
1 c. sugar

Mix first 3 ingredients; add nuts, fruit, and chocolate bite; mix lightly. Beat eggs and sugar together; stir into first mixture. Line a 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan with the wax paper - butter the paper. Pour in mixture. Bake at 325 degrees about 1 hour 15 minutes. Turn out on rack to cool. Bread is best if stored well wrapped for a day or 2 before slicing.
