FRUIT COCKTAIL COOKIES 
1 c. shortening
3 eggs
1 c. fruit cocktail, drained
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
3 tsp. nutmeg
1 1/2 c. sugar
4 tbsp. juice from fruit
3 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. chopped nuts

Combine all ingredients. Drop on cookie sheets and bake at 375 degrees. Yield: 5 to 6 dozen.
