PECAN PIE 
4 eggs
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. light corn syrup
1 tbsp. butter, melted (may use butter)
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. pecan halves

Preheat oven to 400°FF.

Prepare pie shell. Beat eggs lightly and add sugar, salt, corn syrup, cooled butter, and vanilla; stir until mixed well. Spread pecan halves on bottom crust and cover with the filling. Place in oven and immediately reduce heat to 350°FF.

Bake 40 to 50 minutes or until mixture is firm in center. Cool before serving. This makes a thick 9 inch pie.
