EASY TO MAKE BROWNIES 
2 sq. Baker's unsweetened chocolate
1/3 c. liquid shortening
2/3 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped nuts

In bowl, combine beaten eggs, sugar, salt, baking powder and flour. Stir until very smooth. Melt chocolate and shortening. Put into smooth mixture. Add nuts and vanilla.

Put into greased and floured pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes for chewy brownies or 30 minutes for cake like brownies. When cool, cut into squares or bars. Makes approximately 20 brownies.
