TROPICAL FRUIT CAKE 
1 lg. can fruit cocktail, drained
2 c. unsifted flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. nuts

Mix dry ingredients. Add eggs, milk, and fruit cocktail. Stir gently. Pour into greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 300 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes.

TOPPING:

3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. evaporated milk
1 stick butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix all together and bring to boil (3 minutes). Cool. Pour over cake.
