VANILLA ICE CREAM 
2 env. unflavored gelatin
2 (14 oz.) cans Eagle Brand milk
2 tbsp. vanilla extract
2 c. cold water
1 qt. whipping cream

In a medium saucepan sprinkle gelatin over 1/2 cup water. Let stand 1 minute. Stir over low heat until gelatin is dissolved, about 5 minutes. Stir in remaining 1 1/2 cups water.

In ice cream freezer combine all ingredients. Freeze according to manufacturer's instructions. Maple flavoring in place of vanilla and chopped nuts is great. Can add any fruit - strawberries, peaches, etc. in basic vanilla recipe. Makes 3 quarts.
