HONEY POUND CAKE 
1/2 c. shortening
1/4 c. butter
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. mace
1/2 tsp. grated lemon rind
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. honey
3 eggs, unbeaten
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. milk
2 3/4 c. sifted cake flour

Bake in 9 x 5 x 3 inch paper lined loaf pan in 275 degree oven 45 minutes to 1 hour. Increase heat to 300 degrees and bake 45 minutes to 1 hour longer.

FROSTING:

Confectioner 's sugar
Butter
1/4 c. brown sugar
Juice of 1/2 lemon

Mix confectioner's sugar and butter; cream. Add brown sugar and lemon juice. Beat until creamy, then apply.
