GREG'S BEER CHEESE SOUP 
Chop fine or grate onions, carrots and celery. Saute in butter until vegetables are soft.

Add 3/4 cup Bisquick; simmer a few minutes.

Add 3 (10 ounce) cans chicken broth, stirring all the time.

Add 8 ounces grated or cubed sharp Cheddar cheese.

Add 1 cup or so finely chopped ham.

Add 1 pint Half & Half; stir - bring to simmer.

Add 1 cup beer slowly; stir - heat, but do not boil.

Fills a 5- to 6-quart kettle.
