SPAGHETTI SAUCE | |
1/2 bushel tomatoes 1 pt. oil 3 lb. onions 2 garlic buds 8 cans tomato paste (6 oz. size) 4 hot peppers or 3 green & 1 hot pepper 1 1/2 c. sugar 1/2 c. salt 1 tbsp. sweet basil 2 tbsp. oregano Grind pepper and onions. Cook 1/2 hour in oil. Cook tomato and garlic as for juice, put it through a sieve or foley mill. Add pepper and onion to juice and the rest of the ingredients. Cook a few minutes. Put in jars and seal. |
