CRUNCHY FRIED TOMATOES 
4 green tomatoes (may use ripe)
1 egg, beaten
1 c. dry bread crumbs
1/3 c. butter
Salt & pepper

Slice tomatoes. Dip into egg and then crumbs. Melt butter in large skillet. Add tomato slices, cook, turning once until golden brown. Season to taste.
