1 (12 oz.) can frozen apple juice concentrate, thawed 1 (12 oz.) can frozen cranberry-apple juice concentrate, thawed 1 (6 oz.) can frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed 5 sticks cinnamon 1 tsp. ground nutmeg 7 whole cloves 1/3 c. rum or cinnamon schnapps (optional) In a 4-quart Dutch oven or large kettle, combine apple juice concentrate, cranberry-apple juice concentrate, and 6 (12 oz.) cans (9 cups) water. Stir in lemonade concentrate, cinnamon sticks, nutmeg, and cloves. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes. Remove cloves and cinnamon sticks before serving and discard. Stir in rum or cinnamon schnapps. Serve warm. Makes about 3 quarts. HINT: Beautiful Christmas present in a festive, lidded glass jar. |
