1 c. shortening
3/4 c. honey
3/4 c. maple syrup
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. coarsely chopped nuts
2 pkgs. chocolate chips

Cream shortening. Add honey and maple syrup, also slightly beaten eggs. Beat the mixture until light and fluffy. Add vanilla. Sift flour with baking soda and salt. Add to the first mixture. Fold in nuts and chocolate chips. Drop by half teaspoons on lightly greased cookie sheet.

Bake at 350°F for 15 minutes or until light browned.

Makes 100 small cookies.
