TACO CASSEROLE 
16 oz. can stewed tomatoes
1 tsp. sugar
3/4 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. hot sauce
1/4 c. chopped green pepper
1/4 c. chopped onion

CASSEROLE:

1 lb. ground beef
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1 (9 1/2 oz.) pkg. corn chips
5 slices American cheese
2 c. shredded lettuce

Combine sauce ingredients in pan, breaking up tomatoes into small pieces. Simmer on low heat stirring occasionally. Brown meat in medium skillet. Drain off fat. Stir in garlic salt.

Coarsely crush corn chips and spread in bottom of large casserole dish. Spoon hot meat over corn chips. Top with sliced cheese. Bake in oven at 350 degrees, 10-12 minutes until cheese melts (microwave may be used also). Top with lettuce, then spoon on tomato sauce which has simmered.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
