SWISS STEAK 
2 lbs. round steak, cut 1 inch thick
2 tbsp. dry bread crumbs
2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 tbsp. butter, melted
1 can (8 oz.) stewed tomatoes
2 med. onions, sliced thin
1/4 c. chopped celery
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

1. Wipe steak with damp paper towels. Combine bread crumbs, salt and pepper.

2. Cut steak into 6 portions. Place steak on wooden cutting board. Sprinkle with half of crumb mixture; pound into steak with wooden mallet or rim of heavy saucer. Repeat on other side.

3. Melt butter in large Dutch oven. Add steak; brown on both sides over medium heat.

4. Add tomatoes, onion, celery, garlic and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to boil, reduce heat, simmer covered 2 hours or until meat is tender. Makes 6 servings.
