SWISS STEAK 
2 lbs. round steak, tenderized by butcher
1 tbsp. butter
1 pkg. onion soup mix
1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms, drained (save juice)
1 (16 oz.) can stewed tomatoes, drained (save juice)
1/2 green pepper, chopped
Few slices of onion
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. A-1 sauce
2 tbsp. cornstarch

Line a 7 x 11 inch pan with foil. Butter bottom and sides of foil. Cut steak in serving pieces; put on foil. Mix onion soup, stewed tomatoes, green pepper, onion and mushrooms. Pour over steak. Mix juices from tomatoes and mushrooms to make cup (add water if needed). Add A-1 sauce and cornstarch. Mix; pour over steak; cover with foil. Bake 2 1/2 hours at 350 degrees.
