DIANA'S CUSTARD FRENCH TOAST | |
4 lg. eggs 1 c. milk 5 tbsp. sugar 1 tbsp. pure vanilla extract Pinch of salt 8 slices white bread 1. Break eggs into a bowl, add sugar, salt and vanilla. 2. Cream together with a French whip until well blended. Do not over beat. 3. Add milk and blend thoroughly. 4. Dip each slice into the batter, coating each side thoroughly but, do not over soak or it will break when handled. 5. Fry lightly in butter until golden brown on each side. Serves 4. Serve two slices per person. Serve with tub butter and sprinkle with confectionery sugar. |
