GERMAN POTATO SALAD 
5 lb. cooked potatoes
3/4 lb. bacon, cooked and drained, reserve drippings
1 c. sugar
2 2/3 c. water
1 c. vinegar
8 tbsp. flour
1 1/2 tsp. pepper
2 onions, (large) sliced

To reserved bacon drippings, add sugar, water, vinegar, flour and pepper, cook until thick. Add onions. Cut up potatoes. Add bacon pieces to dressing and pour over potatoes, mix to coat. Serve.
