TAFFY APPLE SALAD 
1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple
1 c. Spanish peanuts, chopped
4 c. miniature marshmallows
6 lg. apples, unpeeled and diced
3/4 c. brown sugar
8 oz. Cool Whip

Drain pineapple and reserve juice. Dissolve brown sugar in reserved juice. Mix together pineapple, peanuts, marshmallows and apples. Pour juice over this mixture and fold in Cool Whip. Refrigerate. This makes a lot, recipe can be cut in half.
