FRUIT GLAZE 
Select a canned fruit in heavy syrup, pineapple, peaches, apricots or cherries are most suitable. Drain off about 2/3 cup of the syrup and blend with 1/3 cup brown sugar or 1/4 cup honey, 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard (optional), 1/2 teaspoon spice (select either cinnamon, ginger, or cloves). Brush this glaze over the meat. This amount is enough for a 4 to 5 pound ham. The canned fruit may be served cold or heated in the roasting pan.
