FRUIT COBBLER 
1 cup flour
1/2 cup sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup soft butter
1/2 cup milk

Mix all together by hand. Save a small piece of dough for the top to criss-cross. Put dough in oblong pan; pat in with hands. Spread your choice of filling. Can use two different kinds on top. Then roll dough that was saved in pencil thick strips to criss-cross on top of filling.

Bake at 300°F for one hour. You may use 2 square pans instead of oblong shape if desired.
