Lady fingers
Fresh or canned fruit
Jello (flavor of fruit)
Birds Eye custard
Cool whip
Slivered almonds
Maraschino cherries
Artificial sherry flavor

Depending on what size dish you will use, buy ingredients accordingly.

Place lady fingers around dish and cover bottom. Sprinkle sherry over them. Make Jello and pour over the fingers. Add fruit and let set until firm. Make custard. Let cool then put over Jello, then spread Cool Whip to cover very gently. Sprinkle almonds and cherries on top. This is a most popular English dish.
