COMPANY BEEF STEW 
Combine the following ingredients in large roast pan:

3 lbs. stew meat, (chuck or arm roast is best), cut into 1 inch pieces
2 or 3 med. size onions, cut up sm.
1 (#2) can tomatoes
1 (#2) can green beans
4 tbsp. minute tapioca
1 tbsp. brown sugar
1 tbsp. salt
1 lb. carrots, diced
1 (#2) can green peas
1 can beef consomme
1/2 c. white wine (optional)
1/2 c. prepared bread crumbs
1 or 2 bay leaves
Black pepper to taste
5-6 med. potatoes, cut in sm. pieces

Drain the peas and green beans and replace the liquid with water. Cover roaster tightly. Bake at 250 degrees for 6-7 hours.
