SCALLOPED TURNIPS 
5 to 6 medium turnips
pinch of salt
pinch of pepper
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. milk
2 tbsp. flour
1 egg
1/2 c. cracker crumbs
1/2 c. grated cheese

Cook turnips and drain well. Layer turnips, salt, pepper, butter, crackers and cheese. Repeat 2nd layer just like the first layer. Mix milk, flour and egg. Pour over turnips.

Bake at 350°F for 30 to 35 minutes.
